Measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infections
Kyoto Minsai Japanese Language School would like to inform you the measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infections as follows.
【Measures for students】
Encouraging the students to wash their hands, gargle and wear mask. Disinfecting by antiseptic hand spray under the control of our staffs and conducting temperature measurement before entering the school. Students with a temperature 37 degrees Celsius or higher cannot enter the school and stay home, and our staffs keep conducting health observation. Students with a temperature 37.5 degree Celsius or higher continuing for more than 4 days, students must inform to the school and our staffs take students to the hospital for medical check-up.
【Measures for staffs】
Encouraging the students to wash their hands, gargle and wear mask. Disinfecting by antiseptic hand spray under the control of our staffs and conducting temperature measurement before entering the school. Staffs with a temperature 37 degrees Celsius or higher cannot enter the school and stay home, and our staffs keep conducting health observation. Staffs with a temperature 37.5 degree Celsius or higher continuing for more than 4 days have to take medical check-up. Overseas business trips are prohibited for the time being. Our school also strictly control when staffs leaving from Japan on private trip basis.
【Measures for new students of long-term course in April (from/transit Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau,Singapore, Korea and Italy)】
Requesting to come to Japan by 30th March. Our staffs keep close contact with students for the next two weeks after entering Japan and conduct strict health observations. Our school carries out medical examination on April 13th. If students cannot come to Japan by March 30th, medical examination will be conducted on another day.
【Measures for new students of long-term course in April (students other than the above)】
Requesting to come to Japan by 5th April. Our school carries out medical examination on April 13th.
There will be two-week period from the date of entering into Japan to the starting of the lesson.
【Starting day of the new semester】
The new semester will be started on 20th April which one-week behind the initial schedule. Students who cannot come to Japan by 5th April and cannot attend the course from the starting day will be treated as official absence. Our school will arrange for them to take lessons by online.
【Measures for the enrolled student on temporary return】
Strict health observations will be conducted for two weeks after returning to Japan. Our school will arrange the lessons by online for the students who cannot attend the course from the starting day. However, unless the special circumstances, it will be treated as absent.
【Measures for the new students of short-term course】
It is difficult to arrange follow-up period for two weeks after entering Japan same as in the case of the long-term course due to customer’s requests. Course will be started after conduiting strict health check-up. However, in order to prevent infection as much as possible, our school will ensure the following environment for the students and staffs.

✔Ensuring to keep 2 meters of the distance between teacher/student and student/student.
✔Reducing the number of students per class and securing space 4 square meter per student(Governmental regulation is 1.5 square meter per person).
✔Providing sufficient ventilation in the classroom.
✔Installing air purifier by plasma cluster ion in the classroom.
【Symptoms of concern for novel coronavirus infection】
Students with a temperature 37.5 degree Celsius or higher continuing for more than 4 days and fatigue, our school contacts the following center and acts in accordance with the instruction of the center.
