Features

  • From 1-2 Years (Aiming For Higher Education /
Seeking Employment in Japan) Long Term Course
  • From 2-10 Weeks (Intensive Classes Alongside
Weekly Field Trips) Short Term Courses
  • Learners from various countries, mostly Asia and Europe, are studying at Kyoto Minsai. We provide a learning environment where our students can easily have intercultural exchanges while studying Japanese.

  • Long Term students are mostly high school graduates hoping to go on to universities or vocational schools in Japan, with many of them moving on to graduate school or seeking employment in Japan after graduation. Around 80% of our students are in their teens or 20s, and around 20% in their 30s or older.

  • After graduation, 80% of Long Term students move on to universities, vocational schools, graduate schools, or employment in Japan. In addition, many of our students who passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (N2 and above) utilize their Japanese language skills back in their home countries and are active in a variety of industries.

  • In our Short Term courses, students from over 40 countries – mostly Asia, Europe, and the U.S. – study and interact in a multicultural setting as they hone their Japanese communication skills.

  • Short Term students range in age from teenagers to those in their seventies. Through our careful consideration of nationalities within classes, our students are able to develop intergenerational friendships that last beyond their period of study.

  • A big majority of our Short Term students seek to hone their Japanese conversation and communication skills. Yet regardless of the purpose, they are free to learn Japanese in-depth for as much as they like within their desired timeframe, which is why so many re-enroll as repeat students.
